My in-laws live in a small northern Ontario town. On our way up from southern Ontario we pass many farms. As a quilter I have noticed many barns that have "barn quilts" on them and have always wondered about the significance and admired the beauty and uniqueness of each block.
I have wondered if they were wood or fabric pieces too. Perhaps there were a few of each as we zipped by.
