I've been stalling in my weight loss efforts. I'm really good at maintaining my weight but I needed to come up with an idea to get more calories out then in. I'm not very interested or diligent with tracking calories so, with the new year and the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Pants's C25k Challenge, I decided to join in and see if I could shed a few pounds and tone up by making better food choices (but not tracking) and by running it off.
Week one just finished and and so far so good. For two of the workouts I ran on the spot at home and one was at the gym on the treadmill. I take what I can get when I can get it but I figure it's better than nothing and it's keeping me motivated to check off the completed day.
For runners, here is a question for you - when you were first learning to run, did you do it every day or did you alternate? I did two days in a row and by the third day I was really achy. I used a hot pad and rested with no today really went.
Please let me know if you have any tips for this new runner. Also, don't be shy - please share if you are challenging your health this new year as I'd love additional motivation to continue.
