I have a few ideas of a niche market but wanted to poll you, my readers, to see where there is interest. So, what idea would you be most interested in purchasing for your child or as a gift? (Answering isn't committing you to anything.)
- Baby accessories (bibs, blankets, pillow cases, I can personalize with initial or name, date of birth and birth weight, etc.)
- Clothes (I'm thinking but am not limited to skirts, shirts with gender-specified designs, etc.)
- Home Decor (pillow cases, throw pillows, table runners, place mats, table cloths, etc.)
- Other ~ I'm looking to you for ideas please. What would you commission someone to make for you?
Pet products - high quality dog chew toys, bedding, etc. I don't put clothes on my dogs, but many people do. Cat beds as well.

o A Christmas themed apron.
o Cute cotton top with blue jeans capri ruffle bottoms for a 4 year old.
o A heavy duty sun hat with a wide brim, probably with a velcro strap for underneath.
o A full coverage bathing suit, with maybe a ruffle on the 4 year olds bum.
o A coordinated bathing suit cover top.
o A DKNY Multi Wrap in a nice flowly fabric.
Okay that is about all I can think about at the moment.

ReplyDeleteI actually just bought a sewing machine and am trying to sew a straight line.
I love the idea of handmade kid clothes, the uniqueness of something not bought from the typical chainstores for kids. So that's what I would be most likely to buy, for all my friends' kids! I want to be the cool aunt that gets them stuff no one else has.
I like the idea of customized baby accessories. Just this week I was thinking that it would be so nice if I had some pretty bibs for my baby. She's at the age now where she drools a lot. I have some cute bibs, and they look great with casual clothes (like Carter's), but the totally clash with her pretty dresses. I wish I had fancy bibs for her to wear - ones with lace, embroiderd flowers, pretty fabric or plain white fabric, etc.
