What is Your Blogging Type?

Thanks Cynthia for posting about this fun quiz. I'd say it's pretty accurate!

Your Blogging Type is Artistic and Passionate
You see your blog as the ultimate personal expression - and work hard to make it great.
One moment you may be working on a new dramatic design for your blog...
And the next, you're passionately writing about your pet causes.
Your blog is very important - and you're careful about who you share it with.

Am I The Only One ... RANT

Am I the only one in this house who sees the mess and dirt? I feel like I am constantly picking up toys, cleaning the high chairs, gathering laundry, hanging up coats, unloading the dishwasher and cleaning up other random "hot spots" of clutter. How hard is it to carry up a pile of stuff I've put on the stairs to go to the appropriate home upstairs when you walk by? I seem to manage with an armload of baby. So I will ask again ... am I the only one in this house who sees the mess and dirt? I don't recall this being in the "female head of the house only" handbook.

I Have A Plan ... Really!

I finally sat down with my calendar and decided on rooms to declutter and thoroughly clean. I broke it down into really manageable chunks - one per week. It may take me until March to finish the whole house but if it means lighter living I'm all for it. Sadly, that means it will be time to start all over, however, hopefully at that point it won't take me a whole week for one room - perhaps per floor would be ideal and then it's more of a spring/fall cleaning only!

Catching Up with Elizabeth

How can it be almost a month ago since I have posted? It seems just the other day that I sat down to write. I went through a bad spell of no sleep and a lot of depression-related angst. I am feeling so much better now and I hope it continues.

I have been going to the gym several times a week to increase the endorphins. Maybe that is why I've been feeling better about my self image too.

I've also been reading quite a bit. Last week I read "Water for Elephants" by Sara Gruen. It's a book I would never have picked up on my own but did so for a local library book club meeting held this past Saturday and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the novel. Next month we are reading "Luck" by Barfoot. At the book club I was the youngest one by a lot - most of the women were looking into going into seniors homes (no joke!) and the closest to my age was about 20 years older than me. None-the-less it was a very nice group of women and they made me feel very welcome. When I was describing that I was the youngest by a lot to my family, I realised that this is often the case with my interests. My grandmother nicely put it that perhaps this is because I am mature. Hmmm?? I'll just pretend that is the case.

Currently I am reading Eckart Tolle's "A New Earth" as I had been meaning to pick it up since Oprah has been raving about it on her show - and we all know I'm an Oprah fan!

The house has also been painted - the bedrooms and bathrooms to be completed tomorrow. Now that the rooms are getting done I am desperately attempting to put everything back and clean the windows and blinds and curtains in said rooms as I don't think I've done it in the four years we've lived in the house (I know, ew!).

I think that is the majority of updates for now but I am going to make an effort to post more often.
